Courtney is a yoga teacher, a textbook Pisces, ‘zen to zin’ enthusiast, a lover of travel, but a homebody at heart. She is a true Midwestern gal living blissfully in Lake Country with her husband, baby boy and lovable Labrador.
Courtney has been practicing yoga since 2010, but her yoga adventure has been a ongoing love affair. In 2013, she graduated from her 200-hr training. Shortly after she received her prenatal/postpartum and children’s certifications. In 2016, she became a certified Yoga Health Counselor through Kanyakumari Ayurveda and Yoga Wellness Center. Certifications and fancy poses aside, she focuses on ease in her practice specializing in therapeutic and restorative sequencing.
To her, yoga is a practice that’s even more rewarding off the mat which is what constantly fascinates her. Courtney wants people to feel and find this connection in their own life/practice, too. Thus, in her classes, Courtney uses her creativity and keen eye for detail as a way to compliment each pose, transition, theme, and class/session as a whole. You’ll hear her say time and time again… ‘your mat is not only your home-base, but also your playground.’ After all, it’s all about playing with the fundamentals and how that reveals a true understanding of who we are.
