NASM Personal Trainer / Behavior Change and Weight Loss Specialist
Maria is from Merton, WI, married and mother to a wonderful young daughter. She attended LaFleur’s Gymnastics where she competed as an elite gymnast for 4 years. Maria went on to winning the gold in the All-Around in Brazil for the Junior pan American games. Then, later on to receive a Division 1 scholarship to Lincoln, NE. There she became a 2x All- American and a First Team Academic All Big 12. Maria graduated with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, with a Minor in Deaf and Hard of Hearing. She taught for a few years, but her true passion was in the athletic field and eagerly wanted to work with a variety of different people and capabilities.
Whether it be an athlete or someone who is just learning how to work out, Maria is driven by client success and to see people, not only achieve, but to truly surpass their goals.
Maria likes to truly understand her clients, how their bodies move and function, and uses a multitude of training approaches to help them achieve their goals. She was often injured as a gymnast of 20 years, so Maria likes to prioritize proper technique is used throughout each session. She believes it’s not always about speed and heavy lifting; it’s about control, balance, and proper movements.
