Certified Personal Trainer
Darcy’s fitness journey started 20 years ago when she started exercising after her children were born. Participating in local exercise classes, she enjoyed the camaraderie of the class, and how working out made her feel physically and how it challenged her. This became a passion of Darcy’s and led her to seek a career in the Health and Fitness field.
Darcy became certified as a personal trainer and started teaching children and adults classes at a local YMCA. She taught various classes and one on one training, all the while, volunteering and helping to organize various community events. Along with fitness, Darcy also worked in the Healthcare field as a Medical assistant. Through this experience, she found that people really need to be educated with regards to their health and nutrition. Through some research and working in Aurora’s Fit kids Fit Families, Darcy learned about special populations including diabetes and childhood obesity. She used these teachings and applied
them to her fitness programs.
Darcy took her personal fitness to the next level 10 years ago with running, and completed over 15
half marathons and 3 marathons. She then moved onto multi- sport, racing in triathlon for over 4
years, including Ironman Wisconsin. Feeling accomplished, Darcy found 360 Fitness shortly after and started strength training. She found full satisfaction with the metabolic conditioning and strength training classes. Darcy is excited to continue her education in kettlebell and TRX training and bring those to help you achieve your goals!
Life’s a journey and its constantly changing! We need to change with it! Have a goal and no matter how long it takes to get there, never give up. Darcy believes in looking at the whole picture of a person’s lifestyle, past or current activity, as well as recreational hobbies. All of this helps create a program to help individuals reach their fitness goals. She is so excited to have completed her internship and has started accepting new clients at 360 Fitness!
